My name is Katie. I am 24 and was recently diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis. I am blogging to primarily keep my friends and family updated on my MS progression. I haven't found too many younger bloggers with MS and hopefully sharing my experiences may help anyone out there in a similar situation.
I'm sure some people will think this blog is named after my childhood love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Actually, I chose the name Turtle Speed because that is what the pace of my life seems to have slowed down to due to multiple health issues. I struggle with accepting this is where I am in my life and I just need to keep moving forward even if it isn't as progressive as I would have liked. I also feel like that "turtle speed" is about how fast I walk right now. That and I really just couldn't come up with a better name.
